Peter Feldmann is co-founder and Design Director of Spaceagency. A German architect and urban designer, he leads the studio's creative direction across wayfinding, identity, public realm and experience masterplanning.
Before founding Spaceagency, Peter worked at OMA, UNStudio, Future Systems and WilkinsonEyre — contributing to projects that shaped his conviction that design must operate simultaneously at strategic, spatial and human scales. At UNStudio, he worked on the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart; at Future Systems, he conceptualised the Central Embassy tower in Bangkok. In London, he served as project architect for the Emirates Air Line cable car across the Thames, completed for the London 2012 Olympics. He went on to win the Europan competition twice, in its seventh and eighth cycles — an early proving ground for the independent practice that would become Spaceagency.
At Spaceagency, Peter has led the design direction on projects including the welcome identity for Yas Island, the wayfinding strategy for Expo 2030 Riyadh, the Galaxy Phase 3C Entertainment Complex in Macau, and the AlUla Cultural Oasis District. Across these he has developed an approach that moves from urban-scale strategy to the details a person reads from arm's length — treating movement, narrative and identity as a single design problem.
Peter has taught architecture and urban design since 2009 at the Bartlett UCL, Cardiff University, UC Berkeley and the Royal Danish Academy. In 2019, he was selected by Goldman Sachs for its 10,000 Small Businesses Growth programme at Oxford's Saïd Business School.
