Spaceagency Designs Wayfinding for Asaan Museum

We’re pleased to be part of the Asaan Museum project in Diriyah, a new cultural institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage while creating a space for creativity, learning and knowledge sharing.

Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the Asaan Museum brings together education, culture and community. Alongside certified heritage programmes for young people, the museum will provide a platform for Saudi artists, craftspeople and designers, creating a forward-looking environment where traditional knowledge and contemporary creativity can meet.

As part of the project, Spaceagency is developing the signage and wayfinding system, creating a visual language that connects visitors to both the building and its cultural context.

Our approach draws on the history and identity of the site, as well as the distinctive architectural language of ZHA, translating these influences into a signage system that feels integral to the architecture. The wayfinding is designed to guide visitors intuitively through the museum while creating moments of discovery and reinforcing a sense of place.

By weaving together tradition and contemporary expression, physical and digital, and history and future, the signage becomes more than a functional layer, it forms part of the visitor experience and contributes to the museum’s ambition to create a new home for Saudi heritage.
