Spaceagency is proud to announce that MIXC Village Dongguan Binhai Shopping Village successfully opened to the public in December 2025, attracting massive foot traffic on its grandopening day and in the subsequent days.
Spaceagency developed the signage system for this exotic resort-style shopping village. Designed to be an integral part of the project’s design language, the system incorporates a series of crystal clues as navigation guides, enhancing visitors’ journey experience while striking a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics.
Outdoor signage features translucent crystal and handcrafted stone, seamlessly embedded into the landscape to echo the project’s white architecture and coastal light. Etched crystal directional signs blend naturally with the surroundings, emitting a soft glow at night that synchronizes with water shows, avoiding visual disruption. Spaceagency also formulated shopfront signage guidelines to unify the brand appearance, ensuring the street facade maintains a cohesive look. In contrast, the interior signage adopts a retro-chic style, complementing the mall’s brass tones and infusing a more refined ambiance into the commercial space.
As a flagship resort-style outlet by China Resources Mixc Lifestyle, MIXC Village stands as a new landmark in the Greater Bay Area. Covering 100,000 square meters, it adopts a “commerce + cultural tourism + leisure” model, positioning itself as an elegant natural fashion resort.
Designed by Italian architect Gianni Ranaulo and inspired by Lyon’s The Village, the project comprises 14 standalone buildings with triangular white roofs and a central mall, arranged in a low-density open layout. Clad in white aluminum panels and glass, the structures evoke the imagery of “floating white islets” that harmonize with the coastal setting. Divided into a white inner ring (featuring elegant open blocks) and a gunmetal gray outer mall, the space is connected by three pedestrian axes and integrated with a 1.2-kilometer coastal promenade, central lake, and lawns. Home to over 200 brands, it serves as a one-stop shopping and leisure resort.
Overall, the crystal-clue signage runs through the entire project, integrating seamlessly with architecture and landscape. It transforms MIXC Village into a cohesive space that blends exquisite design, natural beauty, and immersive experiences.
