Spaceagency is delighted to announce our appointment to the West End Public Realm project - one of the most significant urban transformation programmes currently under way in London.

Led by Allies and Morrison for Westminster City Council and The Crown Estate, the project reimagines Regent Street, Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus as a connected sequence of pedestrian-priority streets and public spaces. The proposals would deliver over 35,000 square metres of reclaimed, greened and climate-resilient public realm at the heart of one of the world's most visited urban destinations.

Our role focuses on the wayfinding and signage strategy for the transformed district - designing the systems that will help the millions of people who move through this part of London each year to orient themselves, navigate between destinations, and understand the character of a significantly changed environment.

The project is in an early stage of development. Public consultation has demonstrated strong backing from Londoners, and construction is targeted to begin in 2029, subject to cabinet approval.

We are proud to be contributing to a once-in-a-century scheme that will reshape central London for generations to come.
