Riyadh Complete Communities
Spaceagency is excited to be part of the Riyadh Complete Communities initiative. As part of a larger design team including Aecom and Harry Dobbs, we are developing strategies to improve the public realm of 15 selected Riyadh neighborhoods to encourage walking, cycling, and public life. Streets function as the place for interaction and communication, transportation, social and commercial activities for the general public. Reclaiming streets for all users is an important objective of this initiative. Especially in cities that have been characterized as auto-dependent for decades, there is a need to reprioritize community development objectives for a more sustainable and livable environment.
Neom Mountain
We are excited to be part of one of the most ambitious and forward-looking projects in the world right now: Neom Mountain.
NEOM is a new development of the future located near the Red Sea and the borders that Saudi Arabia shares with Egypt and Jordan, covering a total area of 26,500 km2. The region will be powered by 100% renewable energy, primarily a combination of solar and wind energy generation which will respect the stunning natural environment. Politecnico di Milano
Sarah and Peter were invited to lecture and present Spaceagency’s work at one of Italy’s foremost universities, the Politecnico di Milano on Friday the 15th of May, 2020. It was a fantastic experience to exchange ideas during lockdown.
